New Year, New??

New Year, New??

With the fresh start of 2019, you maybe thinking of all your New Year’s Resolutions and goals to crush. In that, you have to become a mother. Again. Maybe you have been trying to get pregnant for a long time or you are just starting out. This time of year can be difficult as the passing of the holiday season meant you weren’t holding your own precious one during the celebration.

I see you. I was you. It can be so hard and with the new year, a fresh determination to do whatever it takes to make sure next holiday you have your family. Are you starting a new diet and exercise plan? Did someone at Christmas tell you all about “the one thing that helped me get pregnant…” and you MUST start doing it too? Deep breath sister.

How to start the year off right

January is almost through and you have no doubt been working on your resolutions. Have you already begun wavering on some of your goals? It’s okay! The beauty of life is you can restart anytime. You don’t have to wait until Monday, or the new month, or even the next new year. There is no written words in stone that you must only make goals and start them at certain times.

Start with a bible study if you are not involved in one. The love and connection those ladies can provide are invaluable. They can also be your rock when you struggle and help you stay the course when you begin to question God and your struggles to get pregnant.

Along with being involved in a core group of ladies, mindset mantras can help you stay positive when your faith waivers and you struggle to keep upbeat. Some examples of mantras that are helpful to stay upbeat and focused include: “This too shall pass”, “I choose joy”, “Joy is right here” “Be easy”

Create a plan for your diet and exercise goals. Remember to be realistic and make small changes to stick to your plan and reach your goals.

Don’t be afraid to ask for help. This can be from a valued friend or confidant. It could be by hiring a fertility health coach, like myself. to help keep you accountable and help you when you struggle with your plan or feelings.

Why hire a fertility health coach?

A fertility health coach is a support person to help guide you and be there to help you reach your goals. My main focus is on YOU. I will listen to you and your concerns, no matter how small you may think they are. My goal is to help guide you on your journey to improved wellness, boost your fertility, and help you sift through all the jargon and white noise out there being thrown out about what to do. I will not diagnose or treat any diagnosis in any way. My job is to help you navigate what your doctor’s diagnosis may be and to understand what it means.

Getting pregnant is more than just having a healthy pregnancy. It’s about creating lasting changes to support you in your life and health beyond this section in time.
