Essential Oils: Trusted Favorites and Go-To’s

It’s no secret, I’m a lover of essential oils. Today, I want to talk to you about a few of the go-to oils that I use all the time. There are so many uses for them, so don’t take this list as an end-all, be-all to what you can do with these particular oils. I’m so excited to share these with you. If you want to learn more, contact me here and let’s chat about how you can also grab these amazing oils and get started on natural support ways to help your family.

Allergy Support Essential Oils

Lavender, Peppermint, and Lemon essential oils combined and diluted are great used for supporting allergies. I like to mix them in a rollerball and dilute them down. This way, I can just grab them when I need them. You can apply it to your vita flex points or at the nape of your neck. You don’t need to over apply either, just a little bit will go a long way. If you take medications, please verify with your medical provider that there won’t be any sort of reaction. Also, lemon is considered a photosensitizing, or sun-sensitive, oil. This means it can cause your skin to be more sensitive and burn more easily in the sun. Please be careful with where you apply the oil if you plan to be exposed to sunlight.

Immune Support Essential Oils

Have you heard about the magical Thieves essential oil? This blend is inspired by the 15th Century French thieves who, according to legend, would break into people’s homes as they were dying from the plague. They were offered a lesser sentence if they would give up their secret to their immunity. Their formulation included a combination of clove, rosemary, vinegar, and other botanicals. Today, we use this awesome blend to help support our immune systems and overall wellness due to their antioxidant properties. In our home, we add it to a roller bottle with coconut oil and a few drops of lemon. We add lemon because it has antioxidant properties too! We roll it along our spines and the bottoms of our feet!

Skin Support Essential Oils

Lavender and Frankincense essential oils are my favorites. These two powerhouses are great for supporting your skin. Lavender is a great multi-use oil that is gentle enough to be used on kids too. I still dilute it down when using on my son, as always recommended. Lavender is the Swiss Army knife in my arsenal for skin support as it may also help cleanse and soothe minor skin irritations. It may also reduce the appearance of blemishes and supports aging skin. Frankincense helps keep my face clear and soft. It may also help reduce the appearance of uneven skin tone and promote the appearance of healthy skin!

Laundry

I love a fresh, clean scent on my clothes after washing. It can be hard to keep the scent lingering sometimes since we cut out the harsh chemicals that actually create that “long-lasting freshness”. I like a combination of lemon and purification essential oils or lavender and peppermint essential oils for that fresh scent! Add it to Epsom salt baking soda for a laundry scent boost and your dryer balls before you toss your clothes in.

It can be overwhelming to learn how to incorporate essential oils into your everyday use. Beyond diffusing, there are so many ways to help support your family in natural ways and this is just a few tips to help you get started. There are many other ways to use these products. Is there a way you love to use your oils? Let me know if you want to learn more about how to include these amazing drops of goodness into your life.
